THE INSERT FILE / 2026 PANINI PRIZM FIFA WORLD CUP
The world
behind the player.
Messi. Maradona. Pelé. Both Ronaldos.
Ten cards that turn a player collection into a world tour.

ARGENTINA / TWO GENERATIONS
Same country.
Your own story.
National Landmarks puts the setting into the collection. Start with the player you love. Then find the country, era or pairing that makes the next card mean something.
Meet the ten cards ↓WHY THIS INSERT
A country in the frame.
National colours do much of the storytelling on a football card. National Landmarks gives them a setting. The player is still the centre of attention, but the illustrated surroundings make the card feel like a small destination of its own.
Panini’s physical 2026 release announcement includes National Landmarks. The published checklist spans 34 subjects, giving collectors room to build around a favourite player, one nation or several generations. Our ten picks are an editorial starting point—not a sales ranking.
Start with a pair.
Messi and Maradona make a natural Argentina display. Pelé, Ronaldo and Vini Jr. give Brazil a three-generation thread. Mbappé and Zidane form the France pair. Cristiano Ronaldo, Yamal and Haaland bring Portugal, Spain and Norway into the picture.
You can finish with two cards and still have a collection that says something. That is the appeal here: choose a story you want to keep, then find the copies that fit your budget.

Card numbers follow the checklist, not a ranking.

The Argentina anchor
Lionel Messi
Messi is framed by pink and red architecture, colourful street fronts and a blue waterfall. Start with Messi if the national-team shirt is the heart of your collection. Pairing him with Maradona gives you a focused two-card display across generations, without committing to the entire set.

The other half of Argentina
Diego Maradona
Maradona’s ornate frame opens onto mountains, water and a sunset sky. Maradona makes the strongest thematic partner for Messi. The attraction is the shared country and contrasting eras; each card still needs its own price and condition evidence.

The Brazilian cornerstone
Pelé
Pelé stands in front of a bright collage of ornate buildings. Pelé is our starting point for the Brazil trio. With Ronaldo and Vini Jr., this selection becomes a compact tour through different generations of Brazilian football.

Portugal, unmistakably
Cristiano Ronaldo
A rooster, a patterned building façade and warm orange details surround Cristiano. Cristiano brings a different national identity to a display dominated by Argentina and Brazil. Check the name, country and number: Portugal’s #7 is a separate card from Brazil’s Ronaldo #30.

R9 belongs here too
Ronaldo
Ronaldo’s Rio-themed scene brings bright steps and tropical colour into the frame. Brazil’s Ronaldo earns his own place alongside Pelé and Vini Jr. A listing titled only “Ronaldo National Landmarks” is incomplete for comparison: confirm Brazil and #30 on the card.

The modern counterpoint
Lamine Yamal
Yamal’s red shirt plays against an orange backdrop, a bull and a wide yellow dish. Yamal brings Spain into the selection and gives a legends-heavy collection a younger focal point. A 2026 issue should not be presented as a rookie card simply because the player is young.

The France pairing starts here
Kylian Mbappé
Mbappé’s backdrop combines the Eiffel Tower, grand architecture and a colourful spread of pastries. Mbappé and Zidane offer another satisfying two-card project. The same country ties the display together; their separate player markets make the price research individual.

A classic beside Mbappé
Zinedine Zidane
Zidane’s darker blue scene gives the France pair a very different mood. Zidane adds a historical counterpart to Mbappé. For a France collector, this pair can be a complete collecting idea in its own right, rather than the start of a 34-card obligation.

A different place on the map
Erling Haaland
Haaland’s design mixes carved wooden forms, a church and bright waterfront buildings. Haaland brings Norway into a selection with several repeated nations. Choose him for a player collection or for a broader spread of countries, then compare only matching raw base copies.

The Brazil trio, completed
Vini Jr.
Vini Jr. stands against a dramatic waterfall and rock formations. Vini Jr. completes our three-generation Brazil theme. The checklist’s first number is an identity marker, not evidence of extra scarcity or a price premium.

One design. Separate versions.
The ten records here cover the physical, unnumbered base National Landmarks, without autograph or relic. Keep the numbered parallels and graded copies in their own comparisons.
| Version | Numbering | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Base National Landmarks | Unnumbered | The ten identities covered here; print run unverified |
| Mojo | /25 | Separate numbered parallel |
| Gold | /10 | Separate numbered parallel |
| Black | 1/1 | Separate one-of-one parallel |
Checklist identities were cross-checked with Trading Card Database and the indexed Beckett checklist. Parallel numbering comes from the indexed Beckett checklist; its direct page redirected to maintenance during this review. A manufacturer checklist was not retrieved in this review. Neither a seller’s “SSP” label nor a parallel’s serial number establishes base pack odds or the base print run.
A market you can actually inspect.
The October 11 review completed a 130point search and an eBay Sold search for every card. It retained 1,074 matching raw sold-listing observations after deduplicating transaction IDs across the two sources. The table below separates that trading history from the much smaller condition-screened sample used for each raw guide.
| Card | Raw observations | NM+ sample median | Sample dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lionel Messi #10 | 89 | $1,601.00 | 2026-10-04 to 2026-10-10 |
| Diego Maradona #33 | 135 | $200.00 | 2026-10-09 to 2026-10-10 |
| Pelé #32 | 129 | $198.50 | 2026-10-07 to 2026-10-10 |
| Cristiano Ronaldo #7 | 74 | $1,350.00 | 2026-09-15 to 2026-09-22 |
| Ronaldo #30 | 122 | $210.00 | 2026-10-06 to 2026-10-07 |
| Lamine Yamal #6 | 78 | $1,951.00 | 2026-08-14 to 2026-09-09 |
| Kylian Mbappé #12 | 98 | $811.22 | 2026-09-23 to 2026-10-06 |
| Zinedine Zidane #22 | 120 | $144.50 | 2026-10-05 to 2026-10-10 |
| Erling Haaland #19 | 124 | $715.00 | 2026-10-03 to 2026-10-10 |
| Vini Jr. #1 | 105 | $137.50 | 2026-10-06 to 2026-10-09 |
Each median uses three reviewed seller-stated Near mint or better sales, with a confirmed USD item price. It is a small sample, not the median of the entire history or an estimate of every raw copy. Source history begins between late June and July, depending on the card, and runs through October 8–11. Dates follow the source display; original eBay timestamps may use Pacific time. Shipping and tax are excluded.
For Messi, the reviewed near-mint sample is $1,894, $1,550 and $1,601. Maradona and Pelé trade at a very different scale in their recent samples. These differences can help a collector choose a satisfying pair without treating every legend as an equally expensive purchase.
Condition changes the comparison. Cristiano’s latest four inspected raw sales were listed as Excellent, at $1,100, $1,325, $1,400 and $1,390. His near-mint sample comes from September 15–22. Yamal’s near-mint sample is older still, from August 14 to September 9; an October 8 Excellent copy sold for $1,325. Read those dates before treating a sample median as today’s price.
Accepted offers matter too. The Cristiano listing photographed here displayed a $3,275 ask, but 130point records a $2,750 accepted offer on July 9. The card record now preserves the sale and the recovered amount. A crossed-out asking price would have overstated it.
Collect the card. Check the copy.
Ask for clear front and back photographs. Confirm the year, National Landmarks title, player, country and card number. Inspect the corners, edges and reflective surface. A photographed raw card is not a condition guarantee, and a graded example cannot price a raw copy.
MARKET STATUS / OCTOBER 11, 2026
Sales history, with condition kept visible.
Both mandatory sources have been searched and inspected for all ten cards. The database includes deduplicated history, source links and three-sale near-mint sample medians. Slabs, numbered parallels and wrong-card images were removed from base comparisons. Sold listings do not prove settlement or unique buyers; no verified buying edge is claimed.
For a purchase you are considering, include shipping, tax and import costs in the total. The right card at an uncomfortable price can stay on the watchlist.
